I love you both.
MamaI am not a "Look at me" kinda gal, so shopping for a MOB dress was challenging. More than anything, I did not want to look frumpy! The dresses I wore are as different as the daughters, and I love both of them. Both could easily be reused, but I don't have many opportunities to wear special occasion dresses right now. So, yes, they are for sale. One is a Carmen Marc Valvo and it is exquisite. It was bought for the first daughter's wedding. The two piece top would be stunning with black pants.
The second dress is a Kay Unger crinkled magenta. I love the color! It's one that could be worn to lots of occasions. I wore cute sequined shoes with it. Too fun!
If you are a member of the MOB club, I would love to have your dresses added to The Green Hanger Shop. If you are currently planning a wedding, I wish you all the best. If there is a topic you would like me to share from my MOB experiences, I would love your suggestions!

I think you looked beautiful in both dresses, but I love the purple one.
I have three daughters, and I'm definitely hoping they are all get married so I can play MOB!
My daughter is only a year old, but reading your sweet words and thinking of her brought me to tears. I can't wait to one day watch her marry the man of her dreams-- I just pray she finds one as wonderful as her daddy!
And you looked great in both dresses, but I too prefer the purple!

what a lovely letter to your girls. when i got married my mom and i had as much fun shopping for the mob dress as for my dress (actually maybe more fun!). moms and daughters...there is no better bond.
This was such a beautiful post. I hope at the end of all my wedding planning a few years ago that my mom felt like you did :)
You must be so proud :-).
Thanks for your visit and have a wonderful Holiday!
Your post makes me wonder if I let my mother do enough for my wedding. (We weren't living in the same country at the time and my wedding was >1000 miles from both of our homes, so everything was long distance.)
By the way, I just broused your store - it is a great idea and I beleive I will be pulling out my wedding dress and getting it cleaned to see if it is up to snuff!
What beautiful thoughts! And you picked out some great dresses!
Okay...that really brought tears to my eyes! What a sweet post. My daughters are only 16 and 9, so no plans on them getting married any time soon :) But, I so look forward to the day that I can help them plan their special day!
Thanks for visiting and following my blog :) I a new follower on yours, too!

Hi Judy!
I just Love this letter to your daughters. Not only do I have two daughters of my own, but I also have two "bonus" daughters. All four girls are in the same age range: 21-25 years old! The youngest bonus daughter got married this past August. My oldest daughter and oldest bonus daughter are both getting married in 2010!
I loved both of your dresses.
I'm both the MOB and the BMOB :-) Time to go shopping soon!
Wow, Peggy, I feel a little envious! I loved helping the girls plan their weddings!
