Indoor Window Shopping!

Finished your Christmas shopping yet? My shopping has gone very smoothly so far. Maybe it's because I am no longer Mrs. Claus. (Aw, that's kinda sad...) I did lots of shopping online and no, I won't say what I bought because I have some snoopy 'chillen' reading my blog, but I WILL say that my husband got into the spirit of things, and my sons-in-law are getting some VERY interesting presents that he picked out for them!

Now I don't know about you, but I HAVE to get out into the stores at some point for it to feel real to me, so the hubby and I visited some great shops in the West End section of Greenville, SC. These smaller stores were bustling with shoppers, and there was a happy holiday feeling in each store. Shoppers were warmly greeted, packages were placed in unique and festive wrappings, and it was fun to see new wares and try to match them to someone on my list.

I hope you have had some great shopping experiences. Please share your favorite place to shop with us here in the comments.

Now, here are some emporium like items from The Green Hanger Shop I hope you will enjoy. I handpicked them just for you!

The first are these purses, brought straight from Vietnam by my friend, Tracy. (I have written about her in a previous blog.) I saw some very similar to these when I was shopping, but they cost twice as much! How fun would these be at a holiday party?

Next are these dresses JUST IN this past week at The Green Hanger Shop. I think both are stunning and extra affordable.

Last is this wedding garter. Do you have an engaged friend? This is a unique gift idea and one of those details in wedding planning that is overlooked until the last minute sometimes.

There's lots more to see at The Green Hanger Shop, so come on by and visit us!

Happy Holidays!

My favorite place to shop is...ONLINE! Most specifically, Ebay. I've found great things for a fraction of the cost I would pay if I dared enter the mall.

Your blog made me wish that I had access to some smaller, unique local stores. I LOVE looking through places like that! Unfortunately where I live, I'm pretty much just surrounded by malls.

Stopping by from SITS! I like your blog!

Thanks for following my blog, and I'm so glad you did because I found yours! The Green Hanger Shop is a brilliant idea. I'm certainly going to remember it if I have any special occasion dresses to sell in the near future!

I'm a former educator, too, and have been yearning to start my own business. I was thinking of running a children's consignment sale-- it's tons of work, but the bulk of it would only fall twice a year. Best of luck with your business!

I love shopping. I was able to get someone's Christmas present online for more than 70% of off it's normal price.
I live in North Carolina and just might have to go visit these shops.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I'm all about online shopping. It's so stressful to drive in California anytime before a holiday. It's a MADHOUSE I tell you! I had to brave the crowds last weekend and after five minutes I was wishing I were home.

Luckily all of my shopping is pretty much done except for the food to go in gift baskets I'm making. Yay!

I prefer to shop online ... but maybe I will actually have to go out and shop for real sometime! LOL

Thanks for commenting today, I am happy that you sound like a great parent for raising two very independent daughters. I didn't have much of that motherly connection and still don't so maybe that's why I struggle! Thanks again for stopping by!

Shopping is one of my passions... gosh, that sounds bad! I am a big fan of boutique and specialty shops. You don't have to pay a ton to get something unique and different!

I love that second bag you posted-- the red and black one. It looks so decidedly "Carmen", I was shocked it came from Asia!

With 2 young kids, my favorite place to shop lately is online. It's just easier. But once upon a time, I used to enjoy going OUT to stores!

Cute dresses and I wish I lived in a smaller town with cute boutiques like that!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Judy. Stoppin' by from SITS. I've found comments are more on Saturday Sharefest. I've been looking at links & commenting at TheShabbyChicCottage & ASoftPlaceToLand. I've noticed a lot of comments coming from those sites. Plus, it's so much fun to see all the projects everyone is doing. Hope this helps.

I live in the Greenville area and love to look in the shops downtown. With a toddler I do most shopping online. I think the shop owners downtown are thankful.

I do more and more shopping online.
I've never liked mall shopping anyway.
